The Perfect Time for Save-the-Dates & Invitations
💌 Save-the-Date Cards
We recommend these little wedding precursors if you:
✓are planning well in advance,
✓are getting married during peak travel season, or
✓are expecting many out-of-town guests.
Ideal time to send them: 6 to 12 months before the wedding.
With a save-the-date, you give your guests an early opportunity to reserve your big day – even if details like the time or location are still undecided.
📬 Wedding Invitations with All the Information
Once all the key details are finalized, it's time for the official invitations.
Our tip: Send them out about 4 to 6 months before the wedding.
This gives your guests plenty of time to travel, book an overnight stay, and get feedback – and gives you the peace of mind you need to plan ahead.
Don't forget the RSVP deadline
You should always include a clear RSVP date on your invitations – ideally 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding day. This allows you to finalize the number of guests in time, plan the seating arrangements, and provide reliable figures to the caterer.
